Gyokko ryu Koshijutsu CD by Bud Malmstrom
This CD is Mr. Malmstrom’s version of the three Gyokko ryu postures and all of the Gyokko ryu kata contained in the Joryaku, Churyaku and Geryaku levels of training. It includes the history of Gyokko ryu and a biography of Mr. Malmstrom. This CD should be used to learn and understand the basic forms of these kata and not seen as the only way in which to perform them. There is video at regular speed and slow motion of each technique on the CD. The CD has still photos of each movement of each form and written narratives out to the side of each photo that can be printed out in over 80 pages and put directly into your own notebooks. It has audible pronunciation of each kata. There is an index so people wanting to learn techniques concerning choking, for instance, can type in ‘choke” and it will bring up a list of techniques that involve chokes and will take you directly to the one you select on the CD. This is an excellent opportunity to see and learn from Shidoshi Malmstrom’s years of training on these forms.
